Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Prospective Buyers

Q: What is the carat weight?
A: The carat weight of diamonds used in our links vary from 1-point to 10-points. Please visit the Styles page for details of total carat weight by link.

Q: What is each link made of?
A: Our links are made in 14K Yellow or White Gold. Platinum or Rose Gold can be special ordered.

Q: What is a snake chain and what is it made of?
A: A snake chain is a flexible, tubelike bracelet with a wavelike pattern. Ours serves as a temporary placeholder for links and is gold-filled. Each time a link is permanently added by your jeweler, a portion of the snake chain is removed. Once completed, there is only a solidly constructed diamond link bracelet as the snake chain is removed entirely.

Q: What is the color, cut, and clarity of the diamonds?
A: Start-to-Finish’s diamonds are G-H color and all are good cuts ranging from SI2/3 (at minimum) to VS2. For a complete discussion, please visit The 4Cs of Diamond Buying.

Q: How big are the diamonds and how many are there?
A: The number and size of diamonds varies by style so please check the individual bracelet descriptions on the Styles page.

Q: How can I be assured of bracelet quality?
A: We have a 3-part quality control inspection process to ensure that each item is in mint condition before it reaches an Approved Retailer’s store. If for any reason you are unsatisfied, tell your jeweler immediately. In most cases, a 30-day warranty is offered. We advise you to check with your store’s return and exchange policies regarding any and all items prior to purchase. Any returns, exchanges, or refunds are at the sole discretion of the Approved Retailer.

Q: What size bracelets are available?
A: Our bracelets are seven inches in length, the most common wrist size. Links may be added if more length is needed.

Q: How do I find a jeweler in my area?
A: Please click here to visit our Store Locator.

Q: What if there is not a store in my area?
A: If a store is not listed in your town on our website, find a jeweler in your area, contact them, and ask them to email us at info@start-to-finishbracelets.com or visit our website for retailers.

Q: Can I purchase a bracelet online?
A: Our product is currently not sold by online retailers, although some jewelers may offer an e-commerce, online, or by phone purchase option. We advise calling a nearby store to make any purchase arrangements. We do not sell directly to the public.

Bracelet Owners

Q: How do I clasp my bracelet correctly?
A: Here are the instructions for proper closure:

  • Make sure the safety is in the “up” position, tucked away inside the clasp
  • Slip the D-ring onto the arm of the clasp, close to the safety
  • Ensure that the D-ring is not nestled in one of the two grooves
  • Snap the clasp gently in place. If you notice any resistance, check the placement of the D-ring.

Q: How do I care for my bracelet?
A: Every 3-4 months you should clean it and have it inspected by your professional jeweler to ensure diamonds are snug and secure. We ask all Approved Retail jewelers to perform this check each time a new link is added.

In addition, DO NOT:

  • Wear it in the shower
  • Do dishes with it
  • Clean with any harsh chemicals while wearing it
  • Wear it all day, everyday whereby any of the above situations are likely
  • Store it for long periods of time without cleaning it appropriately, especially in a box containing sulfur compounds (commonly found in adhesives and treated fabrics). In other words, don’t neglect your jewels!

We want you to love and cherish your bracelet for many years to come and these guidelines will help you to do just that!

Q: What if I want to return or exchange a bracelet?
A: If for any reason you are unsatisfied, tell your jeweler immediately. In most cases, a 30-day warranty is offered. We advise you to check with your store’s return and exchange policies regarding any and all items prior to purchase. Any returns, exchanges, or refunds are at the sole discretion of the Approved Retailer. We cannot handle any returns or exchanges directly.

Q: What if I have moved, my original jewelry store is closed, or I wish to find a new jeweler?
A: To locate a Start-to-Finish Approved Retailer in your area, use our Find a Retailer search. If you find a jeweler near you that you would like to work with who is not in our database, simply ask them to contact us at info@start-to-finishbracelets.com. We will complete a review process and if they are approved, we will provide the training necessary to add links, clean your bracelet, or assist you in any product-related needs. It is in your best interest only to do business with our Approved Retailers and we cannot be responsible for any products handled by retailers who have not been approved.

Q: Why should I register my bracelet?
A: Registering your bracelet, either in the store or online, makes you eligible to receive special discounts and reminders.

Q: How do I register my bracelet?
A: Your jeweler can provide a registration card for you to fill out in the store or you may submit a form online.
